Now it’s easier, more practical and more economical. Check out the apps to watch football and enjoy watching live!
Football is a national passion — and it’s no different for me. Ever since I was little, my father would take me to watch a game at the stadium.
Today, with two small children at home and a more demanding routine than ever, the solution was to adapt: cell phone in hand, app installed and guaranteed game, without spending anything.
Watching football live and for free on your cell phone is no longer a matter of “makeshift” or dubious links.
There are official apps, available on the App Store and Play Store, that offer live games legally and, best of all, for free.
Below, I share the ones I use, how they work and how you can enjoy it too.
Pluto TV
What is it? It’s a free streaming platform that offers live channels, including sports.
How to use it?
Download the app from the Play Store or App Store.
Open the app and go to the “Live Channels” tab.
Look for sports channels. Pluto usually broadcasts some football games and programs.
Personal tip: I’ve watched Serie B and European championship matches there. The quality is good and doesn’t freeze.
BirFutbol
What is it?
An app for news and live football broadcasts.
How to use it?
Download it from the Play Store or App Store.
Create a quick account or continue as a guest.
Go to the “Live” tab to see the available games.
Click on the match with the broadcast icon — if it’s available, the game starts in the app itself.
Personal tip: I’ve watched Bundesliga with commentary in Portuguese for free.
YouTube
What is it?
An old friend of ours, YouTube has several channels that broadcast live football with official authorization.
How to use it?
Open the YouTube app (or download it here).
Search by the name of the championship or team + “live”. Example: “Copa do Nordeste live”.
Look for broadcasts from channels such as “TV Brasil”, “CazéTV” or the organizing Federation itself.
Personal tip: I have watched state championship finals and even under-20 national team games this way.
Küresel oyun
What is it?
Globo’s platform that broadcasts games on open TV (and sometimes on SporTV).
How to use it?
Download the app here or on the App Store.
Sign up for free.
In the “Agora na TV” tab, access the live programming.
If the game is being shown on Globo, you can watch it even without a subscription.
Personal tip: I used it a lot during the World Cup and to watch Brasileirão games on Sundays.
Twitch
What is it?
A streaming platform famous among gamers, but today with many channels that broadcast live sports.
How to use it?
Download the app here.
Create an account (you can use Google).
Search for channels like “CazéTV”, which broadcasts games from the Copa do Brasil, Copa do Nordeste, and more.
Personal tip: I watched a game of the Brazilian women’s national team there, with a light and relaxed broadcast.
ESPN App (WatchESPN)
What is it?
It broadcasts games from European championships, Libertadores, Copa do Brasil, and more.
How to use it?
Download the app here.
You need to have access via a TV operator or some digital package, but some games are open to the public on special dates.
Navigate through the menu and go to “Live Broadcasts”.
Personal tip: I used it to watch Premier League games when they were open to the public. Keep an eye out!
Futbol izlemek için uygulamalar
If you are as passionate about soccer as I am, there is no excuse for missing the games.
With these apps on your cell phone, you can follow your team wherever you are — in the bank line, waiting for the kids to get out of school, or even at lunchtime.
I myself have watched the championship finals in the car, waiting for my wife to get home from work. All you have to do is choose the right app, press play and hope.
